Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, you must meet these minimum requirements

Job Offer

Valid job offer from designated employer in participating community.

Language Proficiency

Minimum CLB 4 for TEER 4-5, CLB 5 for TEER 0-3.

Education

Canadian secondary credential or foreign equivalent.

Community Recommendation

Recommendation from participating rural or northern community.

Participating Communities

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot includes communities across multiple provinces:

  • Ontario - Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Timmins, and more
  • British Columbia - West Kootenay, Vernon, Moose Jaw, and others
  • Alberta - Claresholm, Grande Prairie, and participating communities
  • Manitoba - Brandon, Altona/Rhineland, and rural areas
  • Saskatchewan - Moose Jaw and other participating communities
